SOIL Dreams: If you had all the time and cash in the world and were to build an organization of your own what would you like to create?
I would like to create an organization that ‘celebrates people’.
Why? Because, after starkly staring death in the face on being diagnosed with cancer three times in the past thirteen years, I’ve come to realize, that life is too short. We tend to let the busyness of our lives suffocate the unique form of genius and authenticity within us which is aching to be accessed. Rather than being our best today, we say we’ll make the changes when circumstances are more favourable. Procrastination steals our time and that day never comes. Discouragement gradually sets in; we deceive ourselves saying that brilliance is the fate of a chosen few rather than facing the sobering truth: we wasted our lives.
Life is so precious. And today is the day to be great. How? A renewed mind is the breeding ground for change. My organization will train people to think bigger and better through custom-made programmes tailored to suit the talents and attitudes of different individuals. Words inspire and energize people to move from where they are now to where they’ve always dreamed of being. My organization will re-create people, stir a hunger in them for newness and leave them equipped to undauntedly undertake assignments they’ve only dreamed of.
My organization will also serve to create leaders- leaders who will teach by example, who will elevate and not run down people by the way they treat them, and leaders who will not compromise when it comes to celebrating the human beings who give them the best hours of the best days of their lives.
My organization will train Human Resource aspirants and professionals ‘to celebrate people’ as this should truly be the mission of every member of the HR team in an organization.
